Re: Sponsorship Opportunity for ATCE 2011
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am honored to write this letter on behalf of Penn State SPE Student Chapter in order to solicit your participation as a sponsor for our society to the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exposition in Denver, Colorado from 30th October to 2nd November.
Indeed, the members of Penn State SPE Student Chapter are planning to attend this prestigious conference. Right now, we have a total of 40 members who are interested and are ready to expose themselves to one of the largest networking platforms of the petroleum industry. However, its success will only be gratefully credited to our sponsors, who will lend their names and financial support to the event. Previously, we managed to travel to Florence, Italy for ATCE 2010 with the generosity of companies like yourself. We truly believe that the great exposure to the industry will indeed be a lifelong learning experience for every member. In addition, this year we will send a team of 5 to participate in the PetroBowl competition.
The funds we raise for the conference will contribute towards the airfare, accommodation, registration fees and education activities. The purpose of this meaningful event is to keep students abreast with the applications of current technologies, at the same time, exposing students to the rapid development in the industry, and also to attend post-training courses including the young professional activities. The goal of this fund-raising is to attain the total amount of $35,200, with the hope of easing the financial burden on our fellow students. By participating as a sponsor, your organization will definitely benefit from extended exposure throughout all the events that we will hold during the academic year.
Last but not least, we have different levels of sponsorship packages as detailed on the enclosed sponsorship form. You can select any level of participation to show your support to us, and be in secure knowledge that every effort of yours will help making this event successful. We are counting on your support and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Thank you again in advance for your willingness to support the efforts of Penn State SPE Student Chapter and help making a difference in our community. We are looking forward to a great partnership with your company.
Yours sincerely,
Chew Y. Leong
